Welcome to Maricopa Priorities
In 2008, Dr. Rufus Glasper first introduced his vision for a new Maricopa, one in which we find collective solutions and act on system-wide opportunities to partner to meet the needs of our students wherever they may be. In this way, we launched ONE Maricopa.
Through this work, we have built the early foundations of a new Maricopa. We have begun to break down territorial boundaries that have historically created artificial barriers to collaboration and optimal performance. We are journeying away from the old system and organizational culture that no longer produce the results our community needs in these times. We must work as one.
Maricopa Priorities, an initiative that first began in 2012, plays a vital role in this work. In December 2014, after more than two years of assessment of all programs and services, the Maricopa Priorities Steering Team presented 68 recommendations for further development and district-wide implementation. These district-wide recommendations complement the local priorities to be examined and implemented at the campus level.
Each of these recommendations represents significant hours of study, assessment, and visioning, each of which have been developed with a profound commitment to student success and the growing needs of our ever-evolving communities. They represent a true grass-roots movement for change, identified and shaped by the feedback of all employees at every campus. Maricopa Priorities represents your voice.
Please take the time to explore the portfolio of Maricopa Priorities for yourself. Through the Dashboard, you can track the progress of the recommendations. The Resources section will provide access to project templates, past presentations, a Resource Guide and other important documents. Learn more about the history of Maricopa Priorities, and how its steering teams were structured in our Background section. And finally, meet the team who is currently spearheading this vital initiative in our Team section.
